Bike Trials
I went to watch the sunset at English Bay. I brought my camera to take some shots. I was lucky to catch these bike trial riders. They were silent, almost zen-like as they balanced and hopped from boulder to boulder on the rocky ocean shore. Click here to see a few shots.

Opsal Steel Building
My love affair with this structure started several years ago but I only began photographing it last year. I have walked around the building a few different times looking for interesting angles, textures, details... you name it.
The city plans to restore it and develop the entire area. I have many shots of the exterior. See more of my Opsal Steel Building photos.
To my surprise, on one of the days I was taking photos, the side door was wide open. The structure inside is just incredible. The massive wooden beams are quite impressive. I can see why it should be preserved. I was only able to get one ugly shot of the interior.
I would love to shoot inside before it gets taken apart. It is slated to be restored. They will number each beam, disassemble & store offsite, excavate the land and then re-assemble it along with a hi-rise or two.

Happy New Year!
2009 is here and time to start a new year! I look forward to changes and new opportunities the year will bring. No resolutions.... but always strive to be better. This was supposed to be a photography blog and I haven't put anything up for a while.
Here is a picture of the Burrard Street Bridge taken Summer 2008.
